Melt Pot Madness

I finally got myself a melt pot a couple of weeks ago, and finally had chance to play, I mean, make a mess with it yesterday, with several colours of UTEE, some UTEE flex, angelina fibres, cosmic shimmer foils stamps, inks and a whole lot of mess (sorry mum) and some cookie cutters

Here's my results.... lol

I'd watched some demos on Youtube by Suze (who is fab!)  so had a go at a few things...

Melting several colours in the melt pot, swirling them, pouring them onto a craft sheet and putting cookie cutters in (circles and flower shapes)

Placing a cookie cutter over a magazine piccie and pouring in UTEE, allow to cool, then just peel off of magazine page:

Just some random stuff with UTEE, foils, perfect pearls and fibres...

And this one, which I half took from youtube, and half from the lovely Julies blog hop project here

I did enjoy it, but I need a lot more time, ideas and peace and quiet oh, and some more UTEE since I used most of mine! lol

At 28...... a new start

So.... Saturday was my birthday, I am now officially 'almost 30' and have reached a very respectable 28 years old and have under my belt... GCSE's, A-levels, 4 different jobs, 2 children, 1 wedding, 1 divorce, 2 years of my own business.  Wow.  So my next project is to set myself some goals for my 29th year.... definitely a mini-book or project in the making!

But that is for later posts

Was a very lucky girl for men and flowers this birthday :)  These lovely flowers from my lovely fella

and this beautiful orchid from my lovely friends at the Exhall Scrapbook Group delivered by Tracie's lovely son who also did me some magic tricks :)

I do seriously aim to get organised this year.  And definitely to spend more time crafting!  The admin side takes up so much time, that I forget to actually enjoy my business as my hobby too.  Hopefully the start of my own crop (www.tslcraftycoven.blogspot.com) will start me crafting again!

Onwards.....

"Me at 28 (almost!)" LO

It's been far far too long since I've crafted.   I was glad to have a focus and reason to actually sit down and create something, instead of doing all the shop admin.  As always I was late, the blog post was to be scheduled for 6am Saturday morning, I finished it and switched the laptop off at 1.30am.  But I did it, and strangely enough, I am pleased with it!  Which makes a change.  Have decided to do this as the first class for my new crop starting on 11th April.

Now off to collect some new goodies for the shop :)

Another one??

So thats three blogs I've set up and played with today then.... excessive you may think, but something I've been meaning to do for months and something always steps in front!

We have this one... my own personal blog for my work, be it work related or personal, cupcakes or crafts, nice pictures or naff ones!

One for the craft retreats I run through my shop Indigo Mill

One for the craft group I've finally managed to set up in the local hall - I cannot wait!!  So much planning and thought going into this, and getting to meet local crafters is going to be great!

Going to hit the hay now, and be back to give all these blogs some tlc tomorrow :)
